  • Prof. Hsu has published at Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Research Policy, Contemporary Accounting Research, and many other journals. 
  • Prof. Hsu is currently an Associate Editor for Journal of Banking and Finance and an Advisory Editor for Research Policy, and is listed in Editorial Review Board at Pacific-Basin Finance Journal and Small Business Economics.
  • Prof. Hsu was an assistant professor at University of Connecticut and a professor at University of Hong Kong.
  • Prof. Hsu is a faculty fellow of Technology & Policy Research Initiative of Boston University, was a Batten Fellow of the Batten Institute of Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, and is on the Executive Board of Asia Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association (AIEA) and the Advisory Board for School of Innovation and Technology Management of KAIST.

  • Prof. Shmueli's research focuses on statistical and data mining methodology with applications in information systems and healthcare, and an emphasis on human behavior. Her highly-cited paper "To Explain or To Predict?" won multiple awards.
  • Prof. Shmueli has published 23 books and textbooks and over 100 research articles at top journals and conferences, including Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Management Science, Marketing Science, Production and Operations Management, Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, and Journal of the Royal Statistical Society. 
  • Prof. Shmueli serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the INFORMS Journal on Data Science, and has served as a Department Editor for Decision Sciences Journal. She has also held editorial positions at MIS Quarterly, Journal of the American Statistical Association, Statistical Science, and other journals.
  • Prof. Shmueli is an Elected Fellow of Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) and Elected Member of The International Statistical Institute (ISI). 
  • Prof. Shmueli held tenured faculty positions at University of Maryland College Park (USA) and at the Indian School of Business (India).

Shin-yi Peng

  • Shin-yi specializes in international economic law, with a focus on trade in services, digital trade and data governance. 
  • Her publications have appeared in leading journals such as Journal of International Economic Law and European Journal of International Law. 
  • She is currently a Senior Fellow at the Melbourne Law School and teaching International Economic Law in the Melbourne Law Master's program. She has previously held visiting positions at several institutions and has taught at the University of Wisconsin Law School and the Faculty of Law of Maastricht University. 
  • She is a member of the New York Bar; of the Indicative List of governmental and nongovernmental panelists to hear WTO disputes; and of the roster of arbitrators under the Free Trade Agreement between Taiwan and Singapore.
  • Shin-yi has served as Executive Vice President of the Society of International Economic Law and is an Editorial Board Member of the World Trade Review.

Soumya Ray

  • Soumya does research on online user behavior and applied statistical methods. 
  • His work has appeared in Information Systems Research (ISR), Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS), Decision Sciences (DS), and more. 
  • He teaches classes in software systems development and computational statistics.
  • Soumya serves as an associate editor at Decision Support System (DSS) and is on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Applied Structural Equation Modeling (JASEM). He previously served as associate editor for Information & Management (I&M)
  • He also co-authors the open-source, international software project SEMinR.
